Dr. Al-Fahim was born in Dubai in 1977. From the age of eleven he worked in his father’s Orient Pharmacy after school. At the age eighteen he founded the “Sulaiman Al Fahim Group” which financed education and sports in the UAE. In (Arabic: سليمان أبو كريم محمد الفهيم) (born 1977 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates) more popularly known as Sulaiman Al-Fahim. In 1998, when he was 21, he was left orphaned after his parents and younger brother were killed in a road traffic accident near Dubai Airport. Following this loss he moved to the United States. There Al-Fahim received his MBA in Finance and Real Estate from Kogod School of Business of the American University in Washington DC. As an international entrepreneur in the pursuit of environmentally sound commercial and private real estate development. H.E. Al Fahim is unique in that he pursues opportunities to support green development for low income real estate along with his pursuit of large scale luxury properties.
International Humanitarian Initiatives with IIMSAM
In November 2008, H.E. Sulaiman Al-Fahim was appointed as a Goodwill Ambassador of the Intergovernmental Institution for the use of Micro-algae Spirulina Against Malnutrition, IIMSAM, to help the organisation realise a world free of malnutrition and hunger, and in support of the United Nations Millennium Development Goals by mainstreaming the use of Spirulina to eradicate malnutrition, achieve food security, and bridge the health divide with a special priority for the Developing and the Least Developed Countries. H.E. Sulaiman Al-Fahim joined the list of IIMSAM Goodwill Ambassadors from across the world who have committed themselves towards the mandate of the organisation. H.E. Al-Fahim’s priority area would be to help the malnutrition initiatives of IIMSAM in the Republic of Kenya, where Spirulina would be utilised to save lives lost to malnutrition and to counter various deprivations associated with it. H.E. Al Fahim has also been instrumental in branding the IIMSAM name and mandate in the GCC and throughout the Middle East and Asia.
