Mr. Charles Ochome, Special Adviser to the IIMSAM Director General on the CAMP MARADONA initiative was born in Kogelo Nyangoma sub location of the Siaya district. He is an Engineer who has been instrumental in the construction of many schools, churches and hospitals in the entire province of Nyanza and beyond. Mr. Ochome was the vice chairman of the National committee that welcomed the current U.S. President Barack Obama when he visited Kenya in the year 2006. He possesses many positions in boards and he is the Chairman of President Obama’s Secondary school in Kogelo. Mr. Ochomé’s love for working with the community led him to resign from his position as a senior buildings inspector, within the Ministry of Roads and Public Works. He is currently a community organizer in the Nyanza Province where he founded the nongovernmental organization “Pendeza Africa” (PENAF) which has teamed up with IIMSAM to alleviate the peoples suffering caused by malnutrition. He is also the founder of the best performing primary school “Golden Elites School” in the Kisumu Municipality.
