Emmanuel (born Jesús Emmanuel Acha Martinez, April 16, 1955, in Mexico City, Mexico) is a Mexican singer who debuted in the 1970s. He is the son of the late Mexican-born bullfighter Raúl Acha and his first wife, Spanish singer Conchita Martinez, Emmanuel's songs are usually ballads, which became popular during the 1980s. His fourth and most successful album to date, íntimamente (Intimately), was written by the famous Spaniard ballad composer Manuel Alejandro in collaboration with Ana Magdalena. It was released in 1980 and had 7 radio hits:

The remaining songs on the album are "Esa Triste Guitarra" ("That Sad Guitar"), "Caprichosa María" ("Capricious Maria"), and "Eso Era La Vida" ("That Was Life"), the last of which is the only song on the album not composed by Alejandro-Magdalena.His follow up albums also enjoyed success with memorable love songs. Emmanuel still performs and tours throughout most of Latin America doing concerts. His touring bands have in the past included musicians from the U.S. most notably guitarist Dick Smith (Earth Wind & Fire, Kenny Loggins, Air Supply) His son Alexander Acha is now a singer as well.

"Pobre diablo, Sentirme vivo, Tengo mucho que aprender de ti, Toda la vida, La última luna, Todo se derrumbó, Detenedla ya, Solo, Corazón de Melao, Quiero dormir cansado" son algunos de los temas que conforman el repertorio de este disco tanto en audio como en DVD. "La Chica de humo" en su versión en vivo es el primer corte de este nuevo material. Este tema fue lanzado originalmente en 1989 en el álbum multiplatino "Quisiera" posicionándose inmediatamente como una de las mejores canciones de esa década. Dos temas inéditos completan este álbum: "La vida caminaba" del veracruzano Fato y "Brillar la mar" compuesta por el propio Emmanuel y su hijo Alexander Acha. "Retro" estará disponible en 2 formatos: CD con DVD, y en DVD solo. H.E Carolina Herrera, Goodwill Ambassador and Facilitator for IIMSAM’s ‘The Right to Food Campaign Initiative Against Malnutrition’ was born in Caracas, Venezuela in the family of Venezuelan landowners and statesman. A renowned designer who celebrates and epitomizes the essence of woman in her creations and acclaimed works that find a tremendous appeal which transcend continents, Mrs. Herrera was awarded with the prestigious “Women’s-wear Designer of the Year” from the Council of Fashion Designers of America. Most recently, H.E. Carolina Herrera launched a diffusion collection ‘CH Carolina Herrera’ in Europe.

With a keen esthetic sense that finds manifestation in her style that seeks simplicity in intricacy, H.E. Carolina Herrera would contribute with her faculties towards the complex issue of malnutrition and to find amiable solutions in the context of development deficit, gender divide, and natality equality. In particular, she wants to focus her energies to counter malnourishment in the womb that results either in infant or maternal mortality, or reduces future cognitive development of a child, with traditionally disempowered groups such as women and children bearing the disproportionate brunt of the ill.

H.E Carolina Herrera states, "If my work at the IIMSAM were to save the life of even one child from the forty thousand children that die of malnutrition and related diseases each day, I would consider it the greatest work of my life."

Her contributions would play a significant role to check the reproduction of poverty from one generation to the next that results because of malnutrition and must be tackled to meet the United Nations Millennium Development Goals.

H.E. Amparo Grisales

Biography and Career

Amparo Grisales was born in Manizales, Colombia, but was raised in Bogota. Amparo Grisales started her acting career by the age of five, and by thirteen she was filming several soap operas. That led to more work, especially on TV with mini-series coming out of Venezuela, Brazil, Mexico, South Africa, and France. Amparo Grisales knew she was big-time material and moved her Spanish-fly body to Los Angeles, where she's worked in the theater, soap operas, and mini-series and was even a TV anchor. Amparo Grisales first showed off her maracas in La Virgen y el fotografo (1982).

Once Amparo Grisales lost her clothes, she kept them off for a roll in the hey-hey-hey with De mujer a mujer (1986) and Besame mucho (1994).

Amparo Grisales mostly appears on Columbian telenovelas like "En Cuerpo ajeno", "Tuyo es mi corazon". Amparo was the host of the show "Protagonistas de novela 3 - El juicio final: Columbia" on 2004.

Hija de Gustavo Grisales y Delia Pati&ntelde;o de Grisales, es la cuarta de cinco hermanos: Omaira, Fernando, Luz Marina y Patricia Grisales, quien también es actriz. A los seis años comenzó estudios de teatro en la Academia de Bellas Artes de Manizales. Actualmente trabaja en novela de Caracol Televisión: Las muñecas de la Mafia Amparo supo que ella era material de primera y se mudó a Los Ángeles, donde trabajó en teatro, telenovelas y miniseries y fue presentadora de televisión. Participó en La Virgen y el fotógrafo (1982). Apareció en telenovelas colombianas como "En Cuerpo ajeno", "Tuyo es mi corazon". Amparo fue la animadora del show "Protagonistas de novela 3 - El juicio final: Colombia" en 2004.
