Mr. Vikrant Sandal is a prominent Social Activist and Entrepreneur. He is associated with IIMSAM in the capacity of 'Principal Adviser to the Secretary General' on global policy planning to fight with severe hunger and malnutrition to save millions of lives in accordance to the Rome declaration.

Mr. Sandal is an Oxford University Alumni, where he read for Social Entrepreneurship in Saïd Business School and Hertford College, prior to which he attained an Honor's degree in Engineering from Coventry University.

Mr. Sandal is an ardent advocate on behalf of IIMSAM to disseminate knowledge base of Spirulina cultivation, Mr. Sandal has established "IIMSAM Global knowledge Centre" which is engaged in carrying out high-end Research & Development work for producing superior quality Spirulina in most cost effective manner. In continuation to it, to support global effort of IIMSAM in mass distribution of Spirulina as well as to counter severe humanitarian crises worldwide, he has established one of the biggest Spirulina Cultivation Farm in the south-east Asia in his home town-Dasuya, Punjab. 'IIMSAM Spirulina Farms Initiative' does not only serve as IIMSAM's back- up to its worldwide humanitarian endeavors but also offer employment opportunity to numerous individuals in one of the designated underdeveloped areas of India.

Mr. Sandal is serving as Co-Chair of the Kanwaljit Sandal Foundation, which is working with various national and international organizations including Red Cross, Rotary International, Lions Club in multiple social and welfare projects. He has been instrumental in developing the "IIMSAM-KSF Model of Grass Root Development", a unique socio-economic model, for Micro Entrepreneurship Development at the grass root level for uplifting marginal and underprivileged farmers in third world countries.

Mr. Sandal is an active Public Speaker and has been interviewed/ highlighted various times in national and international media. He organized various awareness camps and seminars along with the teams Experts throughout India. Mr. Sandal has adopted and is successfully treating 200 Cancer patients in the Malwa belt of Punjab, India. With the target to provide one million Spirulina doses a year, so far, he has adopted nearly thousand undernourished and underprivileged individuals, under an strategic partnership advocacy fund raising initiative the Spirulina Pledge Campaign, for free regular Spirulina doses to the needed populations.

Mr. Sandal has been instrumental in putting together a forum of young members of various parliaments, across nations, to discuss and implement solutions on burning issues like terrorism, malnutrition, hunger, poverty, global migration, the global food & energy crisis, international crime etc at global level. Currently, he is actively working in Indo-Pak peace process and working very closely with the leaders of both of the countries in spreading the peace message across borders.

In his corporate portfolio, Mr. Sandal chairs the Board of Directors of Hash Group; which includes a Research & Development establishment dedicatedly working on "Phycology - Study of Microalgae" for various pharmaceutical as well as Medical diagnostics applications to fight with social evils such as cancer and malnutrition. Real Estate arm of Hash Group has entered into a landmark joint venture of infrastructure development project with well-known business houses: TATA. Mr. Sandal oversees the company's strategic affairs, which includes global operations management, corporate management, technological infrastructure and future business initiatives.
