As a leader in the Puerto Rican community, Miguel D. Lausell has a diverse background in international trade, environmental issues and telecommunications. Mr. Lausell has served as a key advisor to several international presidents. Mr. Lausell has served in many capacities including President and CEO of the Puerto Rico Telephone Company; Executive Director of the Puerto Rico Telephone Authority; a member of the Governor of Puerto Rico's Economic Strategic Council; President of the Export Policy Commission of Puerto Rico; and Undersecretary of the Department of the Treasury of Puerto Rico, Chairman of PonceBank a billion plus institution in Puerto Rico. Miguel D. Lausell serves on various boards and committees, including the Export Policy Commission of the Economic Development Council of Puerto Rico, National Business and Industry Advisory Council of the Emergency Broadcast System, the United States Telephone Association, and formerly the Conservation Trust of Puerto Rico. Serve on the Board of Directors for the Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC)- the only Hispanic on the Board. Mr. Lausell is active in national and local politics. Mr. Lausell served on the National Finance Board of the Gore 2000 Committee and served as a member of the Democratic National Committee's Leadership 2000 Board. Member of Clinton Global Initiative. Mr. Lausell is Senior Political Advisor to Presidential Candidate Senator Hillary Clinton. Additionally, Mr. Lausell co-chaired the Board of Directors of Hispanic PAC USA, Inc. and is on the Board of Directors for the National Governor's Association. He received his BA from Villanova University and law degrees from the University of Puerto Rico Law School (Magna Cum Laude) and Harvard Law School. Mr. Noel Miller, IIMSAM's Facilitator and Adviser for the Global Sports for Peace and Development Programme Initiative was born in Kingston, Jamaica and later migrated to London, UK. Mr. Miller attended the West Ham College of Technology where he studied Electrical Engineering and Business Management. He moved to Florida, US and established several businesses along with the Global Youth Development Foundation (GYFD) that is a charitable organisation committed to the holistic development of children throughout the Caribbean and of the world. The organisation intends to use sports as a medium to foster the development of youth. Mr. Miller is a certified Football/soccer coach, also actively involved in sports & entertainment as a promoter of international football/soccer matches, track & field, cricket, basketball, music and dance concerts.Mr. Miller through the GYFD will be facilitate the IIMSAM's Global Sports for Peace and Development Programme Initiative that would establish sustainable Sports and Development Youth Centers worldwide where each child can actualise his true potential. These facilities, currently in the planning and development stages, serve to nurture, develop and mould sporting skills, as well as mentor and instill the attitudes of patience and discipline. It will also have a supplemental Spirulina Food Programme to combat malnutrition.
