Dr. Roe is the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and Co-founder of Algisys, a biotech company focused on producing nutritional oils and high protein additives for the supplement, food & beverage, animal feed, and pharmaceutical industries. Prior to Algisys, he co-founded and served as the CTO for Biofuel Producers of America (dba Algae Producers, Inc.), which is a diversified algae and biofuels company.

Previously, Dr. Roe was an R&D Consultant and Program Manager with NineSigma, a technology and innovation sourcing company with offices in Japan, Europe, and the United States. He has also worked in a variety of other functional capacities that include product development, process engineering, corporate purchasing, recruiting, supply chain/logistics, six sigma, and corporate quality with such companies as Ford Motor Company, AkzoNobel/ICI, and General Electric.

Dr. Roe received his Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Michigan Technological University, his M.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania, and his B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh. Dr. Roe is currently a Director in the Management Division of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE), and serves as the Vice-Chairman of the Cleveland Section of AIChE. He sits on the various Boards of H2OPE Biofuels, SaltExchange.com, Across Borders.
