Ambassador H.E. Shariar G. Rahimi, Chief of Administrative & Protocol Affairs. He has been involved in UN circles for over 20 years in various capacities. Amb. Rahimi started his career in United Nations related work as an intern with the Governing council of UNDP in Geneva Switzerland in 1983 that led to his appointment as an assistant to Chief of Information with newly established UNOEOA office (United Nations Office for Emergency Operations in Africa) which dealt with Africa's famine-related issues in 17 countries. In 1987-89 Mr. Rahimi continued his career with the Permanent Mission of Bahrain to the UN as an adviser to the Deputy Ambassador. Amb. Rahimi contributed towards voluntary work with Non Governmental Organizations affiliated with United Nations that included his role as a treasurer for Committee for UN Habitat in New York. Ms. Hallberg, a Swedish national, obtained her B.S in Business and Economics after completion of studies at the School of Business and Management, in Lund as well as at Institut d'Etudes Politiques de Lille (IEP - Sciences Po ). She holds Masters Degrees in Quantitative Research Methods from Columbia University in New York City and in Political Science from University of Lund, Sweden. In 2004 she started as a Political Affairs intern at the Department of Political Affairs as well as the Department of Peacekeeping Operations at the U.N. Headquarters. Her main responsibilities included various research works and advising on African Affairs. Thereafter, she transferred to Goma, DR of Congo, to work as a humanitarian Affairs Officer for the U.N. OCHA field office. She is also an executive board member of World of Hope International (WOHI), a non-governmental organization promoting peace, health and education in Ghana. Emma is a recipient of the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency's (SIDA) grant for Minor field studies. She has attended various high-segment international conferences and workshops. Mr. Angiulli, an American citizen with Italian roots, has a long history of successful business development within real estate as well as the entertainment industry. He is now committed to facilitating IIMSAM's initiatives that are aimed to counter severe malnutrition and to achieve the United Nations Millennium Development Goals through cooperation with the U.S. government as well as the Italian Republic, a Member State of IIMSAM's Intergovernmental Treaty. Ms. Sandra Rutz, a German citizen, holds a degree in International Business and Management from the Friedrich Schiller University in Jena, Germany. She was also a participant in an exchange program which gave her the opportunity to study at Mansfield University of Pennsylvania, U.S.A. She has long been involved in philanthropic endeavors and is a committed member of the Melton Foundation which was established to build a worldwide community of talented people from diverse cultures capable of addressing global issues based on principles of open communication and mutual respect. Moreover, she has established her own non-for profit project with the mission of providing basic educational materials for African countries, while trying to build up sponsorship with schools in Germany. IIMSAM's Special Adviser Ms. Laura Susan Cobbs is a barrister in Milan, Italy. She was admitted to the Bar of England and Wales in 1989 (Middle Temple) and was admitted to the Milan bar in 2006. She holds dual practicing certificates for both England and Italy. She is in independent practice with her own law office and maintains a general practice concentrating on the areas of international commercial, financial, real estate, and inheritance law. She also provides advice to consortiums (profitable or charitable) and other business entities on their respective projects in Europe. This involves advising on relevant European directives and domestic laws. Currently, she is involved in projects concerning renewable energy, transport and Milan Expo 2015. In England, her practice was and is in the area of criminal law. She prosecuted and defended the full range of criminal offences. In 2007, she returned to the UK to defend in a substantial fraud trial. She was approved by the Attorney General of England and Wales to prosecute cases on behalf of HM Customs and Revenue. She also conducted trials for the RSPCA in respect of offences against animals. She also defended in court-martials. Her specialization was high profile sex offence case including the first Rohpnol ("date rape" drug) case, the trial resulting from the North Wales Children's Home enquiry and the trial against a 'famous soccer coach'. Miss Cobbs lectured the police, Victim support, social Services and other agencies on child abuse investigations. She was also guest lecturer in 1997 to the European Institute of Family and Social Affairs. She was the author of articles on child witnesses. Since 2008 Miss Cobbs has been an approved attorney for the 'Sportello per il cittadino', which provides legal advice to those who are of no or low income, needing such advice. René ("Nay") Davis, IIMSAM's Technical Communications Adviser, is an independent freelance web developer and owner of Naydream Studios, based on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. René has been developing and maintaining websites since 1996, serving clients in the international market with particular focus on the music industry and online media. She is the webmaster for Roots Music Group, as well as its artists Jon Christos, Kristyna Myles, Rick Guard, and others. A graduate of Mississippi State University, René spent most of her early career in the nonprofit sector, assisting children at risk of abuse or neglect, and advocating for the rights and inclusion of individuals with disabilities. A mom of three, René's personal interests extend to supporting causes which fight to eradicate global hunger and disease, to ensure a brighter future for all our children. She is a board member of the Grobanites for Africa, which supports the Josh Groban Foundation's philanthropic projects in Africa, and locally supports Special Olympics, Boys and Girls Clubs of the Gulf Coast, and United Way charities. Hannah Bible Esq., has worked as an advisor to the Asian-African legal Consultative Organization at the United Nations speaking in the General Assembly, scripting legal language for various UN resolutions, and acting as a general advisor within the 6th committee on various legal matters and the 3rd committee regarding economic/ financial issues. Additionally, she has acted as a legal adviser to The World Conservation Union, Pax Romana, and other Intergovernmental organizations within the UN system. She has chaired and continues to sit on several NGO committees relating to microfinance, financing for development, and other initiatives. After attending Fordham School of law and graduating from St. Thomas University School of Law with honors, Ms. Bible acted as an assistant teacher of tax and contracts. Ms. Bible graduated with an LLM in Taxation from New York University and has a BBA in Accounting and prior to law school worked to structure internal compliance mechanisms and headed the reporting of financials for several multi-million dollar non-for-profit projects. As a faculty member of the Walter H. & Dorothy B. International Tax & Financial Services Graduate Program of the Thomas Jefferson School of Law (San Diego), Ms. Bible teaches the law of international trusts & business organizations as well as United States income tax. Ms. Bible is currently a member of the tax section of the Florida Bar.

Ms. Kamilya Farahmand attended Hunter College and received her undergraduate in Psychology in 2003. She later attended Adelphi University and received her Graduate Degree in Industrial Organizational Psychology. She joined the IIMSAM group as a Youth Delegate and coordinated various specific fundraising projects promoting a Culture of Peace and Non Violence through the Arts to facilitate resources for the IIMSAM Spirulina Programmes worldwide. In May 2010, she was promoted to Human Resources Officer for IIMSAM.

Ms. Oz, a Turkish citizen, graduated from Hacettepe University, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Ankara, majoring in International Relations. While pursuing her studies, she became fascinated about the cultural diversity of the world and decided to apply for the IIMSAM Youth Delegate Program. She joined IIMSAM as a Youth Delegate with the aspiration to learn and assist IIMSAM to develop a spirulina program in her home town of Ankara, Turkey. During her time as a Youth Delegate, she was the main architect for the multi-media campaign of IIMSAM's CELEBRATE LIFE Video to help it spread and percolate to the New York market. Moreover, she was also dedicated to learning Spanish as well as improving her English skills, and continued her Professional Studies at New York University. Previously, she also interned at the Republic of Turkey, Prime Minister's Office and the Under-Secretariat for Maritime, Foreign Relations Department. IIMSAM's former Youth Delegate Ms. Meneske Kuradaci is a graduate from the Istanbul Bilgi University, faculty of communications, Advertising Department. During her University years she worked in the advertising agencies as an intern. She was also dedicated to an NGO (C.Y.D.D) whose aim is to enhance contemporary living in terms of education, human rights, women and children rights and democracy. Ms. KuradaciI also studied at Pera Fine Arts Academy to gain a visual perspective. After finishing her university education she went on to work for two years as a strategic planner at Ogilvy Istanbul which is a branch of an American Company. In April 2007, she came to New York to obtain a certification of Integrated Marketing from New York University, where she will continue her pursuit of a Masters Degree. Ms. Colleen Erin Moore, a national from the U.S., graduated from Purchase College in New York and completed her Bachelor's Degree in Political Science and International Relations in 2006. During her undergraduate years she had studied language and culture in Spain and El Salvador. Upon graduation Ms. Moore became an IIMSAM Youth Delegate where she was accredited to participate in the fiftieth and fifty-first sessions on the Commission on the Status of Women within the UN system. Erin has also worked as a translator for an independent film company, Peoples Television in which she worked to promote a film dealing with immigration rights within the U.S. that later won the first prize at the International Latino Film Festival in New York City. Mrs. Francisca Maria Gallardo, U.S. born of Chilean Parents, has lived 20 years in Chile, South America. Graduated from Finis Terrae University, Santiago Chile, completed her Bachelor's Degree in Journalism and Majored in Corporate Communications and Public Relations in 2006. On her continuing studies, in 2009, she degreed in Corporate Social Responsibility in the Alberto Hurtado University, a very social-oriented institution whose main issue is to fight against poverty. Francisca also worked two years in the Alberto Hurtado University as the person in charge of all the Institutions' internal and external Communications and PR. In 2007 she also worked as an Account Executive in a Communication Agency and related with many private and public companies. As a journalist and researcher, she worked as the press producer for one of the most important channels in Chile (Channel 13). Francisca was appointed as an IIMSAM Officer of Information May of 2010. Mrs. Gallardo, will be assisting IIMSAM's Programmes in Latin America as well as branding the name of IIMSAM through all the media outlets available. Hide bio | ||

Sulaiman Abdul Kareem Mohammad Al-Fahim (or more widely known as Sulaiman Al-Fahim) is a successful international real estate entrepreneur, philanthropist and sports enthusiast. He currently serves as Chairman and President of the Arab Union for Real Estate Development (AURD), CEO of the Falcon Group, and sits on the boards of Hydra Properties and is Chairman and part owner of the English Premier League Portsmouth Football Club. As Ambassador At Large to IIMSAM, Al-Fahim actively supports efforts to assist the United Nations Millennium Development Goals by working to raise awareness and availability of spirulina to combat malnutrition and hunger around the globe. Early Life Al-Fahim was born in Dubai, United Arab Emirates in 1977. From the age of eleven he worked in his father's Orient Pharmacy after school. At the age eighteen, he founded the "Sulaiman Al Fahim Group" which financed education and sports in the UAE. In 1998, when he was 21, Al-Fahim was left orphaned after his parents and younger brother were killed in a traffic accident near Dubai Airport. Following this tragic loss, he moved to the United States to pursue a western business education. There Al-Fahim received his MBA in Finance and Real Estate from Kogod School of Business of the American University in Washington DC. Professional Career After completing his post-graduate education in the United States, Al-Fahim returned to the UAE, where in 2005, he founded Hydra Properties, and served as the CEO of the Abu Dhabi-based real estate development company. He currently sits on the Board of Directors. From his leadership of Hydra Properties, Al-Fahim created and hosts a real estate business-themed reality TV show entitled Hydra Executives which airs in the UK, Ireland and across the Arab region. In the Spring of 2009, Al-Fahim was named Chairman and President of the Arab Union for Real Estate Development (AURD). AURD is the premier real estate trade association in the GCC and is affiliated with the Arab League. Under Al-Fahim's leadership, AURD has demonstrated its commitment to building environmentally-sustainable housing for low and middle income families through his current projects in Puerto Rico and New York City. In addition to environmentally conscious construction, Al-Fahim is planning to grow spirulina on site to use as a biofuel for electricity. In 2007, Sulaiman Al-Fahim was named to Arabian Business Magazine's "Power 100: The World's Most Influential Arabs" as No. 77. In 2008, he was the second highest riser in the history of the list, jumping 61 spots to 16th. He currently is listed as No. 4 on the 2009 list. International Humanitarian Initiatives with IIMSAM In November 2008, Al-Fahim was appointed as a Goodwill Ambassador of IIMSAM, to help the organization realize a world free of malnutrition and hunger, and in support of the United Nations Millennium Development Goals by mainstreaming the use of Spirulina to eradicate malnutrition, achieve food security, and bridge the health divide with a special priority for the Developing and the Least Developed Countries. Al-Fahim's priority area has been to help the anti-malnutrition initiatives of IIMSAM in the Republic of Kenya, Democratic Republic of Congo, and Republic of Sudan. Ambassador Al Fahim has also been instrumental in branding the IIMSAM name and mandate in the GCC and throughout the Middle East and Asia. In 2009, as an ambassador at large of IIMSAM, he helped to establish Spirulina Nutritional Initiatives and Spirulina Programs along with IIMSAM's CAMP MARADONA in the Republic of Kenya along with IIMSAM's Goodwill Ambassadors Mama Sarah Obama and Said Obama, grandmother and uncle respectively of the President of the United States, The Honorable Barack Obama Sport Al-Fahim is a keen chess player, and has represented his country as a youth and is currently serves as President of the UAE Chess Association. Al-Fahim is also an avid football fan as evidenced by the fact that he is Chairman and 10% owner of English Premier League Portsmouth Football Club, but he also favors Al Ain and Al Jazeera clubs in the UAE League. Mr. Saleem F. Sayegh was born in the city of Amman, Jordan in the year 1949 is the second of three brothers who together established the renowned Sayegh Group. From small humble beginnings in Sharjah, the Sayegh Group prospered in leaps and bounds because of the commercial enterprise and far sighted vision of Mr. Sayegh that aimed to provide quality products at affordable and competitive prices. Sheikh Hazim Al-Juboori, is well known throughout Iraq and the Middle East for his philanthropic endeavors and constant support to all kinds of charities. Sheikh Hazim is very enthusiastic to be at the forefront in the fighting of Malnutrition in the world through IIMSAM. He is committed to devote all his efforts to the work of IIMSAM throughout the world with the help of his wide network of contacts and government affiliations. IIMSAM`s Special Adviser to the Director General Mr. Samir Al Neel is one of the most respected and professional Journalist Editor and linguist of the Arab Language, as one of the finest media professional in the Middle East and the GCC. He has played a major role in acquiring the support of many countries throughout the Middle East and the GCC. His vast network of contacts with VIPs, Regional Decision Makers, Politicians, Media and Entertainment Celebrities has equally developed the mandate of IIMSAM in the region and beyond. Mr. Al Neel fervent commitment to the noble cause of IIMSAM and his advocacy work with IIMSAM`s Amb. At Large for the Middle East, Asia and the GCC H.E. Sulaiman Al Fahim have been integral parts of the day to day operations of IIMSAM which has raised the IIMSAM Mandate in the region in order to bring much needed resources to implement the IIMSAM 2009-2010 agenda in using Spirulina against severe malnutrition in the developing world. A distinguished professional creative writer since 1999, contributing to the African and Arabian Literature through poetry, short stories and literary. Nazeer E. Adam was born and raised in Khartoum, the capital of the Sudan. Mr. Adam Holds a B. Sc. in agriculture from the University of Khartoum in Sudan, beside many diplomas in Fine Art & Graphic Design from different collages and Institutes. Shortly after graduation; He moved to the United Arab Emirates where he engaged into research field while building my career in Advertising and Publishing. During the past decade he has published two magazines and a weekly newspaper, which allowed him to highlight and support many charitable initiatives and activities. Recently he has been working as Info-Graphic Designer for a reputed daily newspaper at Dubai Media City. H.E. Ambassador Manish Uprety, is the IIMSAM's Special Envoy to South Asia. He was born in a small and scenic hill station Almora in India. He is an alumnus of the Delhi School of Economics, University of Delhi, India and the Institute of Commonwealth Studies, School of Advanced Study, University of London, United Kingdom.
Having gained professional experience by working for various established corporations both Indian and Multinationals, he moved to London to pursue academics at the University of London. During his association with the One World Trust, Houses of Parliament, United Kingdom, he was responsible to cover contemporary developments and important issues of International Peace & Security; and International Development for the organisation. He also gained journalistic experience with the BBC World Service in London. H.E. Amb. Uprety is a polyglot and a prolific writer on international developmental issues who has spoken from various established platforms such as the Banque de France on contemporary issues of vital importance such as the global food security. A firm believer in the idea of global citizenship, he is also a Member of the Royal Commonwealth Society to support and promote the modern Commonwealth, its culture and core values. H.E. Amb. Uprety is a wild life conservation enthusiast who as a Member of the Tiger & Terrain Trust is diligently committed towards the protection of Tiger which has been declared as an endangered species on the verge of extinction. He is also interested to explore the role sport can play in enriching Human Capital in the developing and the least developed countries in the context of globalization. H.E. Amb. Mr. Vikrant Sandal, Principal Adviser (South Asia) to the Director General is an Oxford University Alumni, where he secured his MBA degree from the Said Business School and Hertford College, prior to which he attained an Honours degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Coventry University, United Kingdom. Mr. Sandal is a serial entrepreneur with a proven track of designing complex business architectures. At the age of 23, he headed the IT department of London based Corporate house which is ranked 14th in the aviation and hospitality industry. Mr. Sandal chairs the Board of Directors of Hash Group; which includes a Nano Biotechnology Company, an Infrastructure Development Company, a Movie Production House and an International Trading Company. Hash Builders, a real-estate arm of Hash Group has entered into a billion dollar joint venture of infrastructure development with one of the most well-known business houses in the world: TATA. Likewise, Hash Biotech has marked its score by achieving the status of "Official Working Partner & Technology Facilitator" with IIMSAM. Mr. Sandal has been instrumental in putting together a forum of young members of various parliaments, across nations, to discuss and implement solutions on burning issues like terrorism, global migration, the global food & energy crisis, international crime etc. Mr. Sandal is also serving as Co-Chair of the Kanwaljit Sandal Foundation, which is working closely with IIMSAM, Red Cross, Rotary International and various other organisations on multiple social and welfare projects. He has been instrumental in developing the IIMSAM-KSF model: a socio economic model of Micro Entrepreneurship Development at the grass root level for uplifting marginal and underprivileged farmers. At Hash Group, Mr. Sandal oversees the company's strategic affairs, which includes global operations management, corporate management, technological infrastructure and future business initiatives. His extensive knowledge of technological and corporate affairs, his multi-dimensional experience across a vast range of industries, along with his dynamic personality has fostered a unique entrepreneurial culture in the organization. GULAID is a skilled international envoy and lobbyist with a distinguished reputation throughout much of Africa for his unrelenting efforts to reestablish his homeland of Somalia. With more than 25 years of global experience as a liason, program coordinator, and language instructor, Gulaid has served in a variety of capacities since immigrating to the U.S. in 1989. For nine years (1900-1999), Gulaid served as an Information Officer with the Saudi Arabia Cultural Mission where he was a key contributor in assisting more than 50 U.S. businesses in initiating operations in the western peninsula of the Middle East. By appointment of Somalia's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Gulaid serves in an ambassadorial role as a Special Representative as an International Consultant to the Transitional National Government of Somalia. For more than 12 years, Gulaid has leveraged extensive in international relations to work with U.S. agencies in promoting the best interests of the Somali Republic. His outreach efforts in this regard extend to international financial institutions, humanitarian organizations, and the general public. The Minister of Foreign Affairs appointed Gulaid to work with the 1,600-member law firm of Latham and Watkins to work on Somalia's behalf to develop a strategy for moving toward establishing diplomatic relations with the U.S. government for security, economic development, health and welfare services; recover assets owed to Somalia, which are now held in accounts throughout the world; contract with major construction and security firms; and work with international lending institutions to arrange financing for major projects. In addition to his work with the Transitional National Government of Somolia, Gulaid contributes to two Washington, DC area consulting firms, as follows: International Associate, Advantage Associates, Inc.; and the Capitol Hill Consulting Group, a government relations group offering individual, bipartisan strategies for success to its clients. Gulaid volunteers his time and expertise to a George Washington University (GWU)-sponsored initiative: Organizing for Development International Institute (ODII), which provides consulting, training, workshops, and research services to assist leaders, organizations, communities, and countries in reaching their full potential. Prior to immigrating to the U.S., Gulaid worked for the U.S. Information Agency (USIA), first as a Program Officer/Senior English Teaching Officer in Mogadishu, Somalia, and later as the Assistant Cultural Affairs Officer in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. In these roles, his contributions included planning and managing all cultural programs sponsored by USIA and serving as an instructor of English. (Gulaid is trilingual: English, Arabic, and Somali.) Gulaid's broad and diverse professional experience is complemented by a bachelor's degree in political science and international relations from Drew University, Madison, New Jersey, and a diploma from UNESCO Teacher Training Institute, Mogadishu, Somalia. The Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD) in Eastern Africa was created in 1996 to supersede the Intergovernmental Authority on Drought and Development (IGADD) which was founded in 1986. The seven member states of IGAD - Djibouti, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Kenya, Somalia, Sudan and Uganda - cover an area of 5.2 Million sq. km and have a population of more than 180 Million. The IGAD region is very rich culturally due to its numerous ethnic groups, languages and religious practices. The average population growth rate of 2.6 % is one of the highest in the world and nearly half of the population is under 14 years of age. The region is highly affected by internal and external conflicts; therefore the joint peace and conflict prevention efforts of IGAD member states are crucial for a sustainable development of all countries. The region has abundant resources, which when properly developed and tapped could secure economic prosperity for the people, in particular, the rich endowment of rivers, lakes and forests, the large livestock stocks and the high agricultural production potential. IGAD provides the political platform through which the Governments of the member states pool resources and co-ordinate their efforts to initiate and implement regional programmes and projects to tackle development challenges facing the region. Ms. Elhaan Egeh is a graduate from University of Westminster School of Law Regents Park London Awarded a 2nd Class Honors. During her tenure with Tegla Loroupe Peace Foundation, she was fortunate enough to travel to Darfur whereby she came across the plight of women and children suffering due to malnutrition and other illnesses. Her desire is to work for IIMSAM to eradicate malnutrition globally. She has had a vast experience in the field of humanitarianism, she has been exposed to war torn countries and human suffering that will bring to IIMSAM invaluable field experience. Mr. Lwamba is a graduate from Nairobi University and holder of a Bachelor of Science & Education. Starting as a Professor at a national high school, Mr. Lwamba thereafter got employed by the mainstream giant national telecommunication company "Kenya Telkom" now "Orange", in the capacity of Assistant Manager for the Network Planning unit. Before joining IIMSAM, Mr. Lwamba had by virtue of his former employer Orange, the opportunity to undergo various management training courses including Advanced Supervisory management, Total Quality Management, Training of Trainers, Project Management and Executive Development training. Mr. Lwamba started early as a philanthropist, always with a heart to help the less fortunate and needy in society. Mr. Dieudonné Fundi Malombo is an agricultural engineer specialized in phytotechnology from IFA/Yangambi (Institut Facultaire des Etudes Agronomiques) in the Democratic Republic of Congo. His experiences of extreme poverty, severe malnutrition, unemployment, diseases including HIV/AIDS in the country played a major role in choosing his occupational career. He has long been motivated by the negative effects of the war to find a lasting solution for malnutrition, which is a major problem affecting the people of the DRC and Africa. In 2003, he signed a contract with ANTENNA Technologies, Geneva branch of Goma, Democratic Republic of Congo as the leader of their Spirulina cultivation and production project. He was also involved in conducting seminars, cultivating and harvesting Spirulina for ready use. Since February 2008 Mr. Malombo has been IIMSAM's the Director of Techincal Matters for the Spirulina cultivation, leading the team involved in the production of Spirulina. Mr. Charles Ochome, Special Adviser to the IIMSAM Director General on the CAMP MARADONA initiative was born in Kogelo Nyangoma sub location of the Siaya district. He is an Engineer who has been instrumental in the construction of many schools, churches and hospitals in the entire province of Nyanza and beyond. Mr. Ochome was the vice chairman of the National committee that welcomed the current U.S. President Barack Obama when he visited Kenya in the year 2006. He possesses many positions in boards and he is the Chairman of President Obama's Secondary school in Kogelo. Mr. Ochomé's love for working with the community led him to resign from his position as a senior buildings inspector, within the Ministry of Roads and Public Works. He is currently a community organizer in the Nyanza Province where he founded the nongovernmental organization "Pendeza Africa" (PENAF) which has teamed up with IIMSAM to alleviate the peoples suffering caused by malnutrition. Mr. Essombo earned his Masters in Geography from the Institut Supérieur Pédagogique Bukavu in the DR Congo. He was the Principal of a school from 1998 to 2002. From 2003 to 2006, Mr. Essombo was the coordinator of "Initiatives Pour la Promotion de la Santé Scolaire" in the D R Congo. Ms. Nyalal is a Certified Public Accountant, by the K.A.S.N.E.B (Kenya accountants and secretaries national examination board) equivalent of associate degree. She currently managing the finances at IIMSAM-ECASP in Kenya. She is a trained Accountant having passed the Kenya Accounting Technicians Certificate I & II and the Certified Public Accounts (CPA 1) examinations. Grace carries with her a wealth of experience having worked with the Kenyan National Bureau of Statistics for a period of five years. Other experiences include working at the Kisumu Healthcare Clinic, Jubilee Insurance Company and the Kenya Agricultural Research Institute (KARI NFRC). Geraldine De La Serna is IIMSAM'S Special-Adviser to the Director General and Chief of IIMSAM'S Regional Office in Mexico. Geraldine holds a Degree in Accounting and Foreign Languages from the Autonomous University of Aguas Calientes, Mexico. She has worked with orphaned children and the elderly in the field of moral values, malnutrition programmes and the collection and delivery of consumer goods to the homeless population. She is member of the Pro-Energia que es vida, A.C. a non profit entity the sustainable development field in Aguascalientes, Mexico. She has been a catalyst in initiating several humanitarian programmes to the poverty stricken masses, she has also raised awareness via public relations campaign in support of the UN MDGs. It is her intention to serve IIMSAM in order to bring about a spirulina food supplement programme to the severely poverty stricken areas of the Aguascalientes Region and throughout Mexico and Latin America. Ms. De La Serna will also act as IIMSAM's liaison to the National, Regional and local Government Officials. Ms. De La Serna is currently working on the implementation of IIMSAM's Spirulina Tortillas Programme for the Aguascalientes region.
